It is estimated that at least 50,000 boys are homeless throughout the Dakar region, the capital of Senegal. According to the UN, this is the largest phenomenon of street children in the world.

To help changing the lives of these youngsters, a group of volunteers set up the orphanage Chemin du Futur (A Road to the Future), a home that offers affection and education.

The project embraced by FWB since 2016 offers education, housing, and food to boys in vulnerable situations in the African country. The work is a breath of hope.

The routine is one of discipline and, besides school and health care, includes music, sports, school tutoring, English classes, and a bakery workshop.

A bakery that operates with an average of 100 loaves of bread a day. The project performed maintenance on the bakery’s oven in order of starting the “social business” plan.

We are working, united, so that profitable activities like this prosper and help to take in more street kids.
